Open-air cinema coming to Felixstowe – We need your film ideas please

Felixstowe’s newly created Beachside Events Area is to host an open-air cinema during the summer holidays.

On Saturday 29 July, a day is being dedicated to films for all the family to enjoy on the seafront.

The free, one-day event is being supported by the Felixstowe Town Council’s Youth Forum who have provided £2,000 in funding.

Work to create the multi-use Beachside Events Area was completed in September and since then has been used to host a number of local events.

Sarah Shinnie, Active Communities Officer at Suffolk Coastal, said: “This free event is part of the many taking advantage of this fantastic space on Felixstowe’s seafront this summer.

“We hope the day will prove to be fun for all the family and we’re now looking for the public to tell us what seaside themed films they would like to see beside the seaside!”

The films need to be suitable to be shown to children in the morning, young people in the afternoon and adults in the evening. All films should be PG and suitable for all ages.
