The Town Council manages five allotment sites,  in Felixstowe:

Cowpasture, Candlet Road, IP11 9AZ 306 plots
Ferry Road, IP11 9TP 94 plots
Railway Hill, Coronation Drive, IP11 2NU 37 plots
Cemetery Field, Langley Avenue, IP11 2ND N/A
Taunton Road, IP11 9AX 19 plots

We also have a new ‘Alittlements’ site consisting of 20 micro-plots, within our Cowpasture site. 

Why get an allotment?

Renting an allotment from the Town Council

The Council offers a 40% discount on the basic allotment rent* for Senior citizens (on evidence of being in receipt of state pension) or Long-Term Unemployed (on evidence of associated unemployment benefits)  whether the allotment be let as a single or joint tenancy, provided that at least one tenant qualifies.

*Discount does not apply to micro-plots.

Benefits of becoming a member of The Felixstowe Allotment Association

Insurance
Plot holders are personally liable for injuries to third parties, including trespassers. Membership of the society provides appropriate cover.

Kings Seeds
50% off all Seed orders through the catalogue or via the Kings seeds website with a code from the Membership Secretary.

Representation
The Association represents members and plot holder interests to Felixstowe Town Council

Cowpasture Plot 39
Members can buy a good range of discounted products including; compost, netting, fleece, chicken manure pellets, fertilisers etc. and an opportunity to meet like-minded individuals. The plot and Hut 39 is manned on Saturday mornings between 09.00 am and 12.00 pm

Winter Meetings
Regular winter meetings are held at Old Felixstowe Community Association, Church Road on the 4th Thursday of the month at 7.30 pm. Speakers bring ideas, knowledge and products, while members exchange views and experiences.
