Felixstowe Town Council welcomes nominations for their 2019 Civic Awards

Posted by Town Hall Staff 09 January 2019

If you would like to honour a local person or organisation that has made a positive difference and special contribution to our community, Felixstowe Town Council would like to hear from you.

Felixstowe Town Council’s Civic Awards scheme is now in its 17th year and we have been privileged to honour many individuals and groups but we know that there are countless more yet to be recognised. We are delighted by the quantity and quality of the nominations we regularly receive and would love to hear about anyone who deserves recognition for services to Felixstowe.

Nominations for the awards will be considered by the Awards Panel in April and the winners will be honoured at our Civic Awards presentation ceremony on Wednesday 8th May at the Annual Town Meeting at the Felixstowe Academy at 7pm.

Awards in the following categories will be presented:

The Mayor of Felixstowe Award: Presented to up to 5 local individuals for their personal contribution to the community.

HMS Ganges Youth Trophy: Presented to a local young person (aged 21 or younger) or organisation supporting young people in Felixstowe.

Community Organisation Award: Presented to recognise the contribution to the community by a local organisation.

Completed entries should be received by 31 March 2019 to be eligible for consideration.
