Felixstowe’s gardening talent, creativity and community spirit were celebrated on 15 October at the annual Felixstowe in Flower Awards Ceremony, held at Felixstowe Ferry Sailing Club.
The awards recognised the hard work and dedication of local residents, schools, businesses, care homes and allotment holders who have helped make Felixstowe a greener, brighter and more attractive place to live and visit.
The event celebrated achievements across a wide range of categories, from school gardening projects and sunflower growing to private gardens, commercial displays, sustainable planting and allotment cultivation.
Local schools also demonstrated their commitment to gardening and the environment, with awards going to Fairfield, SET Felix Primary, Grange Junior School and Kingsfleet. Riley Brewster took home the Best Sunflower award.
The Felixstowe in Flower Awards continue to showcase the enthusiasm, imagination and community involvement that help make the town bloom, recognising everyone who contributes to its floral displays and green spaces.
