Felixstowe Town Council is pleased to announce that it has formally adopted the Civility and Respect Pledge, reaffirming its commitment to promoting respectful and positive working relationships across the council and the wider community.

The pledge, supported by the National Association of Local Councils, the Society of Local Council Clerks and One Voice Wales, encourages councils to demonstrate good governance, professionalism and respectful conduct in all aspects of council business.

By adopting the pledge, Felixstowe Town Council recognises the importance of creating a culture where councillors, staff and residents are treated with courtesy, dignity and respect.

Cllr Corrine Franklin, Mayor of Felixstowe, said: “We are proud to support the Civility and Respect Pledge and to reinforce our commitment to maintaining high standards of conduct and constructive engagement within our council and community.”
