We are proud to be involved in NHS, Social Care & Frontline Workers’ Day on 5th July 2021. Here is what we have planned for the day:

10am – Raising the NHS, Social Care & Frontline Workers’ Day Flag. The flag will fly for seven days in the Town Hall Gardens.

Watch the Mayor, Cllr Mark Jepson, raise the NHS, Social Care & Frontline Workers’ Day Flag with Dr. Paul Driscoll and Dr.  Stephen Feltwell, as they pay tribute to the NHS and all our front line workers and community volunteers on our Facebook page here: https://fb.watch/v/3n1vs4pub/

Dr Stephen Feltwell, Mayor Mark Jepson, Dr Paul Driscoll, Deputy Mayor Sharon Harkin and Morrison’s Community Champion Wendy Bowen

11am – Two-Minute Silence (please observe this moment of reflection if you can).

1pm – Nation’s Toast to the Heroes of the NHS, Social Care & Frontline Workers – The  Mayor Mark Jepson and Deputy Mayor Sharon Harkin toast:
“To those who give so much, 24 hours a day, seven days a week within the NHS, social care and on the front line, we thank and salute you.”

8pm – Clapping & the Ringing of Church Bells   –   St Johns Church will be ringing their bells 73 times – one ring for every year of our NHS – and everyone is encouraged to applaud our NHS and key workers once again.
