Suffolk Highways will be carrying out road resurfacing works along Crescent Road and Mill Lane (between the junctions with Garrison Lane and Highfield Road). This is necessary to stop further deterioration and improve the road surface.
The work is planned to be completed between 18th and 24th April 2018. Work will be carried out from around 9 am until 4 pm each day. Excluding the weekend.
The times and dates of works may change depending on the weather conditions. If they do change, they will let you know by updating the information signs on site.
The road will be temporarily closed to through traffic for the duration of the works (excluding the weekend). Access to properties and businesses will be available but controlled by staff on site. Please speak to one of the Highways staff who will provide access as soon as it is safe to do so. Access for emergency services will be maintained at all times.
During the period of the closure, traffic will be diverted via;
Southbound- A1021 and A154.
Northbound- A154, High Road West and A1021.
On street parking will be restricted to allow the resurfacing to be carried out unobstructed.
These temporary traffic management measures are required to allow the works to be carried out safely and in accordance with current health and safety guidelines.
