Suffolk Highways have provided an update on the footbridge replacement works along Maidstone Road, Felixstowe.
Suffolk Highways attended the site in November 2016 to undertake vegetation clearance in close proximity of the rail bridge on Maidstone Road, Felixstowe. This work was necessary to enable survey work to be undertaken in advance of the planned reconstruction of the footbridge on the west side of Maidstone Road.
In their previous letter, we explained that the footbridge reconstruction would take place during Summer 2017. Unfortunately due to operational factors and the extent of the works involved, the start date for the works has been postponed to Summer 2018.
