I write to inform you that following some issues identified over the last couple of evenings, we have made some changes to our traffic management. We would like to apologise for the disruption that has resulted from these works so far and we would like to make you aware of some changes we are making in the hope this will reduce disruption.

Important roadworks information

A14 junction 58, Seven Hills to junction 62, Felixstowe in both directions: resurfacing

I write to inform you that we will be carrying out essential resurfacing works at the above location. As part of this work we will also be carrying out other essential maintenance works such as repairing safety barriers, carrying out drainage repairs, replacing road signs, renewing faded line markings and road studs.

We plan to complete this work over 24 weeks starting 10 August. Our working hours are between 8pm and 4am on weeknights only, subject to weather conditions. We have been working closely with The Port of Felixstowe to adjust the times of our road closures according to peak traffic travelling to and from the port.

Due to the extensive amount of work being carried out, this scheme has been split into 9 phases which is outlined in the table attached. This table contains information of where our works will be taking pace, planned dates for these works and diversion routes.

We have closely liaised with county councillors and Suffolk Highways about our works as well as gaining approval for the most suitable diversion routes for each phase of works.
