The Port of Felixstowe host Local Authority Liaison Committee meetings twice each year to give members of District, County, Town and Parish Councils the opportunity to discuss a variety of issues that affect them and the communities in which they live. These meetings include sharing of information with the Port, planning, opportunities for community involvement with the Port leading to such outcomes as sponsorship towards Felixstowe in Flower to make the town a more beautiful place, and beach cleans. The Port of Felixstowe provide a Port Community Fund and Port Schools Fund which help work towards improving the economy and environment of the local region.
The Town Clerk, Town Mayor and two Councillors are the Town Council’s representatives on the Committee.
