Dependant on the tide and weather, average journey times for the above ferry are:

Felixstowe to Harwich – 15 minutes
Harwich to Shotley – 10 minutes

Felixstowe to Bawdsey

The ferry runs (weather permitting):

• Good Friday until 30th April – Weekends only between 10am and 5pm 
• 1st May until 30th September – Daily between 10am and 5pm
• 1st – 31st October – Weekends only between 10am and 5pm

2025 prices: Adult single: £3, adult return: £5, children £2, cyclist single £4, cyclist return £6, river taxi to boats, each way £3-£5.
