Additional information

Originally from Cornwall and finishing my schooling in Plymouth, I relocated to Suffolk in 1995 when I joined the Army Air Corps and received my posting to Wattisham Airfield. I served 23 years in the British Army, including a tour of Northern Ireland, 2 tours of Bosnia, 2 tours of Iraq and 4 tours of Afghanistan. I reached the rank of Warrant Officer Class 2, where I carried out the roles of Regimental Quartermaster Sergeant and Operations Warrant Officer for the Apache helicopter training squadron.

My family and I lived in Ipswich for most of my service life and, prior to retiring from the Armed Forces, we relocated to Trimley St Mary and have resided there for the past decade. I am married and have 2 children; my daughter finished at Felixstowe High School recently and my son is currently a student there.

Since leaving service life, I set up my own property maintenance company, which I have run and managed for the past 10 years in the Felixstowe area. My children keep us busy, with my son being a regional swimmer and keen rugby player in Felixstowe, and the whole family being certified SCUBA divers.

I stand for the Reform UK party as the first councillor to be elected in the Suffolk Coastal area. I am passionate about our country and what we need to stand for as a sovereign nation, along with supporting our veterans and all the residents of Walton and Felixstowe.

Elected in February 2026, Tristan is a Felixstowe Town Councillor for the Walton Ward.
