Stuart was born in Ipswich, and has lived in Felixstowe since 1993. He is passionate about politics, and is interested in reading, especially history, and walking. In 2017 he completed a sponsored walk ( 3 times around Alton Water reservoir ) raising money for Level 2 Youth Hub in Felixstowe.
Stuart has been a Member of the Town Council since 2011, and has been Chairman of Planning and Environment Committee since 2020. He was a District Councillor for 12 years and a County Councillor for 9 years.
