Salary: £12 per hour / £23,088 per annum
2 Year Fixed Term Contract

About Us

Felixstowe Town Council is a local council serving and representing the residents of Felixstowe. Our small team supports the Mayor of Felixstowe and the 15 other Town Councillors in their responsibilities, which include; local community buildings, allotments, cemetery, play areas, Remembrance events, Felixstowe in Flower and town twinning; as well as other community action, such as; providing grants to local organisations, responding to local planning applications, strategic plans and consultations.

 About the Role

We are looking for a Grounds Maintenance Apprentice to help maintain our allotments, cemetery, and other community sites. This is a fantastic opportunity for anyone interested in grounds maintenance and horticulture to develop their skills as part of a small positive team, whilst working towards a nationally recognised qualification.

 About You

We’re looking for a hard-working individual who enjoys the challenge of working outdoors, in all weathers, as part of a small team.

The successful candidate will work closely with the team to help maintain our sites to a high standard. You will take pride in yourself and your work, have good attention to detail, and be quick to learn new skills.

If you are enthusiastic, with the ability to adapt to change and work under pressure and willing to undertake a range of training courses, then we’d love to hear from you!
